The Korea Shipowner's Association (KSA) is a nation-wide organization of owners and operators of the vessels engaged in the ocean transportation on the basis of free activities.
The KSA is striving to promote a fair and free activity in shipping and to contribute toward the sustainable development of Korean shipping industry.
In terms of the objectives, the KSA conducts research and survey of shipping trends, maintains close contact with related shipping organizations at home and abroad and acts as an advisory organization to the Government Authorities on the ocean shipping policies.
And KSA sets up and manages the marine safety institute for prevention of marine pollution and accident, and makes much effort for safe voyage of Korean Vessel such as policy proposal for the improvement of sailor supply and demand, construction of labor and management cooperation system, and formation of industrial and academic cooperation base.
The KSA, founded on April 20, 1954 as a nonprofit corporation, is proud of its history and its various activities covering all matters of the nation's ocean-going shipping industry on the private level.
